Potfire is a design tool to evaluate the fire resistance of unprotected concrete filled hollow section columns submitted to the standard fire in accordance with ISO curve.

Four different versions are now available. They are based either on the French code "DTU Calcul du comportement au feu des poteaux mixtes (acier + béton)" or on the different versions of Eurocode 4 Part 1.2 "Design of composite steel and concrete structures - Part 1-2: General rules - Structural fire design").

Sustainable development is a major theme of our four year strategy plan, as we apply our knowledge and expertise to help the steel construction industry take on board recent and future technical and legal requirements.

More specifically, we are working on energy consumption, greenhouse gaz emissions, environmental performance of construction products, corrosion and the environmental advantages of steel construction.
